Room 7&8 camp 2019

WALT: Make a google slide and add photos and writing to the slide. The photos were already in our gmail so that made it easier to insert them.

Reflection

I enjoyed looking at the photos and looking at how much fun we had

What I didn't like about this task was inserting all the photos and making them all fit on the pages.

What I would do better next time is maybe add some writing instead of just adding all photos on  the slides.

After watching this would you want to go to the farm?

NZ History animation

NZ History Animations

WALT: to present an animation that shows our new learning about the different perspectives of
Māori and Europeans first encounters 250 years ago.

How did I do it?

I had to create a google slide and had to do a positive side and a negative side of captain James cook.

Reflection:

I enjoyed making the slide and finding stuff out about captain James cook.

What I didn’t like about this task is about the bad stuff that captain James Cook did.

What I would do better next time is to be more specific about what happened.

Wack animal report

LI: to merge two animals together to create a new wacky animal that is represented by
the combined characteristics of both the individual animals.

How did I do it?

We had to create a google slide and pick out a wacky animal and write about it. The easy stuff was
finding out the facts and write it in the slides.

Reflection:

What I enjoyed the most was finding out about the facts of a snow leopard.

I liked how we had to pick a wacky animal and write about it.

What I would do better next time is to improve on the writing and explain a bit more on the first slide.

Whaea Donna gave us a template to do and we had to find 2 movies that we like from Point England and write about all the 1. Narrative,2. Cinematography,3. Sound,4. Scene,5. editing.

Reflection:


I enjoyed watching a lot of movies and writing about them.What I found challenging was to write about the movie in my own words 


Next time I would be more specific about the movie and what they do in the movie. Do you want to try this out and experience on movies from other schools and see what they're about?

keyboard shortcuts

W.A.L.T: Post a screencastify of  three favourite shortcuts and describe how to do it.

Whaea Donna gave us a slide to fill out and do a screencastify about the tree short cuts, how it works and what it does for you do be even quicker on technology.

Reflection

I enjoyed telling you about my favourite shortcuts, how they work and to be cyber safety.

I found talking over the top of people challenging because other people were walking by and some were talking which interrupted me.
Next time I would be more specific about the short cuts and how they work.

My Tiny House project

WALT: To design and measure accurately to create our Tiny House.

Whaea Dom gave us a template to draw and design the floor,walls and the roof.
The way we made the Tiny House was pretty simple. Whaea Dom had already got the papers ready for us and all we had to do was to draw the furniture, colour the house in, create the walls, add a picture on your roof. 

Reflection:

I enjoyed designing and creating my tiny house.


I found measuring challenging because you have to rule the house,walls and roof then add them together so that the measurements are right.
Next time I would be more creative so that it actually looks like a house but it's a tiny house.

Whaea Sue gave us a google slide template to fill in so we could think about our goals,aspirations,dreams and skills.

Reflection

I enjoyed thinking  about all the things I am good at and what i'm doing in the future.
I was challenged by thinking ahead of me and what i'm doing in the future.

Next time I would add some more writing in so I describe about my future.

Hi I’m Bindi,I am 11 years old and I go to Kaitaia Intermediate school..I have six people in my family.My mums name is sheree, my dad’s name is Durin, my grandads name is Robin, My older sister is Claudia,My little sister Madison and then there’s me Bindi.I have eight pets.Four dogs,one cat and three cows.I use to have a lamb and so did claudia.With my dad I have Four pets.One horse,One dog and two cats.

I’m really good at helping my family.I’m good at running,horse ridding netball,swimming and giving things a go.I enjoy helping them and it gives me a lot of things to do.My challenges are to at least help with each and everyone of my family with what they need.I also love doing what I like.My goals for this year is to give everything a go even if it’s hard,cook for mum and get even better at what I do.

This year I am looking forward to camp in term 4,some personal  achievements,new classmates and
new people to see.Willow my best friend has inspired me with a lot of things that she has done this year,my mum does a lot of things for my family and me,she also helps me with a lot of things to and my dad who helps me with quit a few things to.
