Good Bye Paparore

Hi! its Bindi. You can tell by the tittle that I am leaving Paparore school,Its an amazing school and I have had an amazing adventure at this wonderful school.I will be going to intermediate school but i'm sure my friend Faye and I will visit some times and give our teachers a great big hug. My friend Faye and I will be in the same classroom and we will be studding together. I had a graduation a few days ago and now its time to say good bye to this beautiful school because its my last day at Paparore school. I am leaving with 30 year six students in my class like my most greatest friend Faye.

OMG!!!I can’t believe it’s have a go surf day today.A day feels like it’s only been 5 hours rather than 24 hours. Elly,Faye and I were extremely excited,we had finally arrived at our destination … Whakarongo I we all said loading from the front said Mrs Davan. Faye,Elly and I were off the bus before we knew it … hello my name is mike he said who here likes surfing I definitely put my hand up and so did Faye and Elly,Wow said mike look at all of this … hi i’m Dug wow it’s Duggy who us to work at our school I said to myself,they all introduced themselves there was Mike,Duggy,Julia,Miranda and another boy from Chilli.Group to my group was picking up rubbish on the beach and grup one was going to catch some waves.I’m on the beach with Faye and Elly picking up rubbish when hold on we bumped into a dead stingray with holes in it yuck!!!Faye and I found a random T-shirt hidden in the sand by the bank that was not what I was thinking hat would be on the beach … WOOHOO!!! Group two is going surfing right now and it’s going to be sooooooo!!! Fun ...Ready said Julia yes I replied GO!!  I started paddling  I can’t believe my eyes i’m actually standing I got of and then I saw Faye standing YAY Faye!! Faye is a natriall I said in my head.It was a few minutes later then we had to get out and for the very first time Elly was standing up for a split second YAY Elly! Your actually getting the hang of it I said to her.💜😎😌😊

Running around the farm or even getting the cows for dad.I would never leave my precious girl behind.Fully white with round black spots placed everywhere around her.I would always take her to help on the farm but dad would say NO!she could get lost but I don’t listen … I was angry so I tried to beg him to let my precious girl to come ‘but dad please can she come she will be helpful,and I promise I will look after her.’Fine she can come.YAY! Thank you thank you thank you as I said well giving dad a hug.I went to get my precious girl out and she ran over to kiss me … I loved her.🐕

Fear Fall

Let’s go on the fear fall!I shouted … Elly and Faye were like yeah let’s go but Marie was freaking out  a little.There it is the magnificent fear fall I said … let’s go in line said Faye as Marie was walking in fear.Were at the front of the line as some people walked in looking all happy but behind us the closer we got to the fear fall the more scarer Marie was,I told Marie that that’s why it’s called the fear fall. Yeah!!! … Click … I regret this I said,look what you made me do said Marie as we were going up.it’s going to high said Marie to high to high,it felt like my shoe will come of. It’s nearly to the top and Elly,Faye,Marie and I all had butterflies in our stomach,were at the very top now and were all nervous … 3 2 1 ... SWOOSH!!! … AHHHHHHH!!!! We all shouted as we were holding on for our lives,we were of off our seats and the fear fall
started to slow down.That was fun I said as I got of my seat shaking like that was nothing.Yeah! Let’s go again I said Marie didn’t look so keen by the look on face you could tell that she was not  going on that again.💖👍😌

STEAM - TERM 3
- Coding (Snap4Arduino) and Arduino Boards
In Term 3, the students have been continuing their STEAM learning using the STEAM Electronics kits. They have been learning how to block code using the program Snap4Arduino. The purpose of this learning has been for the students to control one or more LED lights on an electronic arduino board using code. Each week the coding expectation increased and the students showed perseverance in achieving successful outcomes!
Learning Goal 1. To make an LED blink off/on by controlling voltage from 0V to 5V by programming the Arduino.
Learning Goal 2.  To change the speed of blinking to such a high rate that the LED appears to be dimmer.
Learning Goal 3. To make the LED fade on and off by varying the voltage

2018 - Term 3 STEAM - ‘Coding and Arduino Boards’ Reflective Questions

What was I learning and why?
I was learning to make an LED light to flash with a cool app called snap4arduino to plug in cords to make the light flash.

What did I do well and how do I know?
I now know how to shine two lights flashing with a little help from my friends and partners.I know that I did well because I never gave up on my friend and me.I also helped with confusing parts that I didn't get but I got there.




What challenged me ……?
The thing that challenged me was to put all the cords in the correct places to make my lights flash,that was really confusing to plug in.




What would I do differently next time to make my learning more successful ….. ?
I would try to make three lights flash or shine two lights without any help and never give up no matter what.I would also follow the diagram for more help.




What have I enjoyed about the learning?
I have enjoyed to make lights flash with my friends and using the snap4arduino that is plugged into a breadboard.I also enjoyed putting the cords in the right place without giving up.

Rounding and compensating

W.A.L.T subtract using Rounding and compensating because this strategy can help me calculate in my head to get the answer
quickly.I find this strategy easy because all I have to do is to add the number that is closer to the tidy number or take away then make my new equation and take away or add that number then add up what it makes for my answer then I add or take away on the answer and then that's my answer to the top question. 👌👍

Science roadshow

Last weeks my class went to the science road show at Abundant life in the hall.My favourite part of the show was fire and ice.Why?Because a lady had a ball then got a hoop she would be able to put the ball trough,then after that the lady put the ball with the hoop in the liquid nitrogen for about 10 minutes then she got it out and put the ball through the hole and it was stuck because it had shrunking.Then we were able to do activities and if we did one with a flag you had to figure it out when you were done you had to get a teacher and explain the game to them and you would a hole in your card from the teacher,
when you have 3 holes in yours you right your name on it and school then but it in a box.Then they would call us in and they would call 2 names out one was Sam from our school and someone else from another school.After that the other lady did another part of fire and ice show.She got a candle and light it up then got something to put it out and got another type of bottle and it had oxygen in it, she squished both things together and it made a big flame.Then it was time to leave to go back to school.It was amazing.👌👍😏

Hooray!!!It’s assembly after all them practises i felt tired,hard to breath and even lost for words that it was really a lot of practises.We had loads of outfits we had Mokos on our chin but for the boys it was on their chin,chest and legs,the girl’s that were villagers as well as the people doing Titi toria{short sticks} was wearing kapa haka dresses,everyone wore headbands except for the warriors,the narriarators wore ties.Iritumoana wore a cloak because he was the cheif.Next we saw the Taniwha and not just an old regular taniwha but a realistic taniwha.They wore blake outfits to focus on the taniwha instead of them and when that taniwha came in the crowd went cray cray.Tarakura slowly slithered to Iritomoana and the warriors gave him white eyes.Mereana and Phillip were the puppeteers for tarakura.When tarakura slithered back he looked intimidating with the body moving up and down giving the crowd a fright with a swoop in every movements they take.It was my turn to speak.I felt the sweat dripping down my face,on my hands and everywhere.I felt nervous i was nervous that the mic was shaking,the mic keeps on cutting out when i shock the mic.It was nerve wracking cause 400 eyes were looking at me including my mum.My heart was pounding faster than a lightning bolt.At the end i felt proud of myself  even my mum was proud of me 9 was happy it ended to.That was one of the best performance ever,even my mum agrees with me.👍😄😊

How i show Integrity a good leader team builder and member

I think i show Integrity by always being honest I know when i have done something wrong and when i can fix my mistakes.I help my friends and other people around when they need help doing something,i help the little ones too.When i play netball i help my team mates by giving them an open space to pass and get the ball to our goal.I like to help the teachers when they need help, they need to get something from the photocopy or need a fast and reliable leader to ran a message over to another teacher.😏😁😃

I am really good at helping Claudia with her homework. I enjoy helping Claudia with her homework. My challenge is to help bake. My goal for this year is to cook for mum.
