Origami butterfly

As you can tell from the title I made an origami butterfly. We had 4 options to choose from. An origami butterfly, heart, fish and frog. I decided to make an origami butterfly.

Reflection

I enjoyed making the butterfly as it was a new thing to try out.
I loved how it looked like at the end.
I disliked making the slide but I put all of my effort into it.
Have you made any origami If not would you consider doing one?

Group 4 Staying Covid Safe

LI: To create a resource to remind our peers how to keep themselves and others safe during the
 Covid-19  pandemic.

Reflection:
I enjoyed making it with my group, as it was easy to finish it in time.
I loved how we worked as a team.
I dislike the making it cause everyone and everything was all over the place

W.A.L.T:  Make a google slide and write down what we did in lock down. We were allowed to put some meme's and some jokes in there too.

Reflection:

I liked searching up meme's and jokes to make people laugh.
What I found difficult was having to wright down my point of view of my lock down.
How i did it was just thinking back and writing down what I did in lock down.

Maori Myths and Legends

W.A.L.T: Finish the tasks that have been but on the slide and put in your answers.
The book is very interesting and it helped me learnt more history  to the past of New Zealand.
I think that it is important to read the articles cause in the future if you want to be teacher you can teach your class about this. It helps us learn about things that happened in the past.

Everyday we do a quick write and some of us likes to post them on our blogs. Our teacher sends us 2 prompts from pobble and then we would write our own story's on a google docs. Each day we do a new one we go to the very top and write it there. That way it's easy for us and the teacher.

Story starter :

Most visitors are a little shocked (to put it mildly) when they arrive at Animal Town. Despite the fact that the name of the town gives a slight indication to passers-by that the inhabitants of the town are ‘not normal’, it’s as if people don’t believe things until the see them with their own eyes!

Once you get used to being in Animal Town – or so they say – seeing an orangutan behind a desk in a sheriff’s office and upholding the law to an impeccably high standard becomes relatively ‘normal’…

Imagine you are a visitor in Animal Town. Try to describe your experience.

My story :

Most of the visitors were in shock and some were excited. Standing there mouths wide open wondering why animals would be in town. Each and every day a bus full of animals would arrive in town and kids would enjoy their company. Soon enough before anyone could think twice the town was called animal town. Almost every adult in animal town would want to talk to the Chief. The next day another bus full of animals arrived. Kids would run over and pat them while their parents stood their arms folded and looking quite angry. Later that day at about 12:00 one family was having a chat about staying or leaving. Ten minutes later they had made their minds up, they started packing everything and drove off to another town. But the second town they went to also had animals. They turned their car around and went back to animal town. When they arrived back at animal town they 

were - embarrassed, ashamed, fooled - as they entered their house. People and families started to buy animals for the good of their kids and because of the animals. Like where would the animals sleep. On the road? Yeah nah not on my watch. What would happen to them if a car comes? They're probably dead. Surprisingly the chief actually let them adopt/buy animals. Parents and kids were very happy and everyone thought that animal town wasn’t so bad after all. Well that was what everyone had thought but no they were wrong. Everyone except for one person …

T1 Draft Writing

Today I wrote a story about a canine catastrophe. Our teacher wheae Dom sent the whole class 2 prompts to chose from and I chose this one.

I enjoyed writing this story and I took me a short amount of time to write and edit.
The reason why i did it in a short amount of time is because i'm a quick writer on computers.
If you had to re write this story how would you write it?



Story starter:

Suddenly, the wind gusted and Sammy was lifted higher and higher until his owner Beth could hang on no more… “Owwoooooooo!” yelled Sammy, as the world below him drifted further and further away. Up…Up…Up…He went, until Beth was just a tiny dot; an ant far beneath him!

Can you continue this story about the dog that floated away? Can you describe what the dog sees as he is floating away? Where does he finally land? Does he manage to get back home?

Suddenly the wind gusted the dog behind.
The amazing canine dog just chilling in mid air.
Her collar was pulling her by the throat and
leaving a huge rash.
She was barking loudly but it was no use
the collar was digging deeper into her throat. 
It was leaving me no choice but to stop and
grab her by the legs to pull her down.
She was riggling, kicking and barking a lot.
I slowly took the collar off and looked at
how bad the rash was.
It was very painful for her and for me.
I quickly wiped my phone out and called
09-408-2838 …  No answer. I checked to
see if there was wifi. OMG!! No wifi.
I picked up Rose and fast walked her back
to the house. When we got to the house I
carefully put her on her bed and dialed the
number once again. 

“Hello this is topvets how may I help you?”

“My dog Rose has a rash on her neck”

“It’s really bad”

“I’ll be 10 minutes” I put the phone down and
sat next to Rose. I softly places my head on
her and soon I’m feeling water covering my
eyes. As I blinked a tear appeared on my
check. I hugged her so much and was talking
to her. I hope she was going to be ok. At last
the vets arrived. 

“ Bindi”

“Hi Bindi I’m Clementine”

“So where is Rose?” For a second I thought
that was a bit dodgy like just asking where
your pet is. I let her in and walked her over
to where Rose was sitting. I told Clementine
everything that happened. She looked at the
rash and examined it. She told me that Rose
had to go with her to get her checked up.
As I looked at Clementine carry Rose out the
door I shut it behind them and slid my back
down the door and the tears were running
down my face and I couldn’t fight them back.
They were like never ending tears. I wiped
them away and stood up.
I grabbed my - bag, car keys, phone - and
walked out the door. I hopped in the car and
drove to the vets. I wasn’t just gonna let
Clemintine walk away with my dog just like
that. I had to make sure that Rose knew that
I was there with her. I need Rose in my life
and without her I don’t know what my life
would be like without her. I locked the car
and ran in the veterinarian shop. I asked what
room
Clementine and Rose where in.

“Room 2, just over there” She pointed to
the
right and I walked over to that direction.
I felt one tear drop down my check as
I knocked on the door. When I walked in
Rose was all fixed. She might have had the
rash around her neck but I was really glad
she
was ok.

              What I liked about this is writing about how wolfs feel at full moon in the night.
      What I disliked about this is thinking about what describes the wolf pup howling to the moon.

Reflection:

What I enjoyed about this was I got to see and know now different breeds of horses.

I loved how it was easy for me cause I have my very own horse.

What I disliked about it was that I had to think of things that end with ing.

How I did this was pretty easy I just went on a google draw and write down the 4 things. Safety, Respect, responsibility and striving for excellence. Then I thought of ideas to treat the Chromebook.

Reflection

What I liked about this is it tells people to care for our Chromebooks and how to treat them.

The thing that I found challenging was to take the picks and thinking of what to write down.

Reflection

What I liked about this is it brings back memories from the past and it tells me who I really am.
